With summer just around the corner and with temperatures soaring, it’s got me thinking about gloves which are resistant to heat.

These types of heat resistant gloves are useful in many industries, as I will demonstrate, and it’s always useful to have a spare pair of heat resistant gloves lying around in case of an emergency. You never know when you’re going to need them!

Polyco Ingot Heatbeater Glass Mitten Safety Gloves

Another of Polyco’s finest. Protects against contact temperatures of up to 500°C for 62 seconds, you can see where they got the name ‘Heatbeater’ from. Ingot Heatbeater™ is a modified glass mitten with aluminised glass fabric cuff and Kevlar® felt lining that provides optimum protection from contact heat. Made from Kevlar® felt and glass, the Ingot Heatbeater™ achieves Level 4 for contact heat, withstanding temperatures of up to 500°C. Naturally, this Glass Mitten is a great choice of glove in industries where there is a high risk from heat injury.

POLYCO BAKERS MITT HEAT PROTECTION GLOVES

This fantastic heat resistant gloves has been tested up to 250 degrees Celsius and thanks to the innovative design it can resist steam and liquid. Furthermore. the heavyweight material offers abrasion and cut resistance.

The Polyco Bakers Mitt is a heavy duty terry cloth mitt with an integral liquid and steam barrier. Achieving Level 2 for contact heat in accordance with European Standard EN407, it can withstand temperatures of up to 250°C providing a high level of protection. With an integral PVC barrier to protect from liquids and steam, the heavyweight terry cloth shell offers good mechanical protection and increases durability. This mitt can be worn on either hand extending the life of the glove, and is available in three different styles.
