Key Features and Benefits

  • Thermal liner and faux-fur insulation keep cold at bay during winter
  • Convective and contact cold protection under EN 511
  • One of our favourite thermal gloves for cold weather protection
  • Pigskin leather foundation is rough, ready and durable
  • Reinforced fingers and thumbs make the gloves last longer
  • Splayed wrist-cuff maximises scope and range of wrist protection
  • Bulky design prevents bumps, scratches and scrapes ruining your hands

Insulated Thermal Liner

A thermal liner ensures that hands stay warm, no matter how cold it gets. A good quality liner is proven to increase insulation and heat retention by as much as twenty percent.

Full Grain Pigskin Leather Foundation

Pigskin is a leather known for its toughness. Because of this, it's perfect for withstanding bumps, scratches, grazes and abrasions in the workplace.

Pigskin also has the advantage of not stiffening up when it gets wet. This makes it ideal for thermal and winter gloves that need to be at their best when the heavens open.

Artificial Fur Lining

Whether you're conscious about the ethics of fur or you're simply after something a little cheaper, look no further. Ejendals 377 Winter Gloves use 100% ethical imitation fur in their gloves to create a thermal liner that's just as warm as the real thing.

Reinforced Thumb and Fingers

Heavy-duty work ready, Ejendals 377 Work Safety Gloves are tougher than the rest. Their pigskin foundation fabric is highly resilient in the face of scuffs, scrapes and scratches, and their reinforced fingertips are included to make lifting the heaviest boxes and products a whole lot easier.

Fully Splayed Wrist Cuff

Ejendals 377 Insulated Thermal Gloves feature a splayed wrist cuff which covers more of the arm than a standardised safety glove cuff. They're great for tucking a jacket or coat into to create a complete waterproof seal when the rain really starts to pour.

What Are Tegera 377 Thermal Gloves Made From?

  • Palm Material: Full grain pigskin
  • Lining Material: Winter lined
  • Back Material: Cotton

What is EN 388?

You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 388. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.

There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 388. EN 388 stands for Mechanical Resistance, and informs you of your gloves' resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures.

How Do I Read the EN 388 Score?

Simply speaking, the higher the score that this product achieves, the better the product will be at resisting that hazard. Products will score between Level 0 and Level 4 for abrasion, tears and punctures, and if they weren’t tested for that hazard you will see N/A written instead of a number.

Cuts are a little different and, with the EN 388 standard rewritten in 2016, it means that gloves will either be tested to cut resistance or ISO cut resistance (sometimes called TDM cut resistance). Gloves tested to cut resistance will score between Level 0 and Level 5, and gloves tested to ISO cut resistance will achieve a score between Level A and Level F with the higher letter offering better cut protection.

Where Can I Find Out More?

This is just a brief overview of EN standard EN 388 so you know where you are standing. For further information, you can see the Introductory EN 388 Blog in our Knowledge Centre.
