HexArmor NXT 10-302 Food Handling Glove Safety Ratings
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 2 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level A |
Targeted Protection Areas
Please note that the Level A cut-resistance rating only applies to the thumb/finger area of the glove. This increases protection when holding food in place in order to chop, cut or dice. For a more detailed depiction of the protection areas on the HexArmor 10-302 Kitchen Glove, please view the image further down.

How Does an NXT 10-302 Glove Protect Your Hands?
Targeted protection areas allow a glove to single out areas that require additional reinforcement. This both protects the shelf life of the glove itself and the hand of the user. Please view the diagram beneath to see how targeted protection areas help to keep your hands safe:
Fabric Protection
Serious about heavy-duty protection, SuperFabric was developed in 1996 as a solution for preventing needle and knife incisions. It is the layer that prevents a serrated edge, needle or blade end from breaking through your glove and causing serious injury to your hand.
Highly Breathable and Odour Free Material
A common complaint from glove wearing professionals is that throughout the day, their hands begin to smell. This occurs due to a build up of sweat and odour. HexArmor use highly breathable material that allows perspiration to naturally exit the glove throughout the day, preventing the build up of smelly particles inside the glove.
