While they are similar to other welding gloves in the sense that they protect against welding sparks and grinding splashes, they differ in that they provide a high level of cut resistance. We would recommend that you don't stray too far from their recommended use, as you might find that they lack the durability needed for a lot of heavy duty handling jobs.
