Honeywell Polytril Flex Nitrile Coated Grip Gloves 2332663

Gripping and handling materials in any environment can be slippery and difficult, which is why the Honeywell Polytril Flex Nitrile Coated Grip Gloves 2332663 utilise a sandy nitrile palm-coating to offer exceptional grip in dry, damp and light oily conditions. The impressive dexterity of the Honeywell Gloves is ideal for handling tasks, while strong abrasion and tear resistance offers enough protection that your hands won't be injured by rough and coarse materials.

Where Can I Use the Honeywell Polytril Flex Gloves?

The Honeywell Polytril Flex Gloves are ideal for anyone wanting to carry out handling tasks in dry, damp and light oil environments. The nitrile palm coating can protect well against elements that can make handling tricky. Some applications where we would recommend these gloves include:

  • Assembly
  • Automotive
  • Building
  • Construction
  • Engineering
  • General handling
  • Industrial
  • Local authorities
  • Maintenance
  • Mechanics
  • Materials handling
  • Packaging
  • Packing
  • Railway maintenance
  • Roofing
  • Transportation
  • Warehousing

Please note that the Honeywell Polytril Gloves aren't limited to these tasks, and will prove useful in any task that demands a little grip when handling materials. This can range from tough, ongoing tasks such as loading a lorry, to carrying smaller items around a warehouse.

What Will the Honeywell Polytril Flex Gloves Protect Me Against?

To ensure a high quality performance the Polytril Flex Gloves have been tested in accordance with EN standards. They were tested in accordance with EN 388, which measures their mechanical resistance to things such as cuts, abrasions and tears. The scores were as follows:

EN 388

Hazard Level of Resistance
Abrasion Resistance Level 4
Cut Resistance Level 1
Tear Resistance Level 3
Puncture Resistance Level 1

How Much Grip Will the Polytril Flex Nitrile Coated Gloves Provide?

For handling tasks, grip is something that will be at the forefront of your mind, especially if you consider that the materials you'll be handling may be a little damp or greasy. Honeywell have considered this in the making of the Polytril Gloves and included a rough and coarse nitrile palm coating that prevents slippery items from feeling slippery. This is ideal for work outdoors or in the warehouse, when dropping items can be both expensive and a danger to your health.

Why Are the Honeywell Polytril Gloves Ideal for Handling?

Aside from grip the Honeywell Polytril Gloves offer impressive flexibility and a high level of sensitivity. Their thin design is ideal for handling the more intricate items, especially as it gives you more feeling in your fingers which allows you to be in total control of the materials that you are handling. Furthermore excellent abrasion and tear resistance can protect your hands against rough and coarse materials, ensuring that both your gloves will last a long time and that you won't injure your hands.

What Key Features Do I Need to Know About the Polytril Nitrile Coated Gloves?

  • Sandy nitrile finish offers exceptional grip
  • Tough palm coating protects against abrasion and tears
  • High dexterity ideal for getting a hold on items
  • Impressive abrasion resistance ensures cost-effective protection
  • Breathable design helps to enhance comfort
  • Silicone-free production is skin friendly

What is EN 388?

You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 388. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.

There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 388. EN 388 stands for Mechanical Resistance, and informs you of your gloves' resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures.

How Do I Read the EN 388 Score?

Simply speaking, the higher the score that this product achieves, the better the product will be at resisting that hazard. Products will score between Level 0 and Level 4 for abrasion, tears and punctures, and if they weren’t tested for that hazard you will see N/A written instead of a number.

Cuts are a little different and, with the EN 388 standard rewritten in 2016, it means that gloves will either be tested to cut resistance or ISO cut resistance (sometimes called TDM cut resistance). Gloves tested to cut resistance will score between Level 0 and Level 5, and gloves tested to ISO cut resistance will achieve a score between Level A and Level F with the higher letter offering better cut protection.

Where Can I Find Out More?

This is just a brief overview of EN standard EN 388 so you know where you are standing. For further information, you can see the Introductory EN 388 Blog in our Knowledge Centre.
