Protection RAtings and Standards Of HexArmor 360 Gloves
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
|Standard ||Resistance Rating |
|Abrasion Resistance ||Level 4 |
|Cut Resistance ||N/A |
|Tear Resistance ||Level 2 |
|Puncture Resistance ||Level 1 |
|ISO Cut Resistance ||Level F |
Level F Cut Resistance Rating
Level F is the highest rating awarded under EN 388. It is a rating only given to the most protective safety gloves out there. A Level F rating indicates that a glove can withstand in excess of an incredible 30 newtons of downward force applied by a sharp implement.
So What Does This Mean?
To put it bluntly, Level F resistance is what stops your hand getting cut to pieces. Fabric with a Level F rating works to jam a blade tip in place before it reaches the skin. If you're wearing a Level F glove, a machine part, blade tip or piece of metal will jam between the highly resistant fibres that make up your glove or garment, preventing serious injury.
Applications For The HexArmor Chrome Series 4023 360 Degree Cut Resistant Gloves
SuperFabric Protection System
Serious about heavy-duty protection, SuperFabric was developed in 1996 as a solution for preventing needle and knife incisions. It is the layer that prevents a serrated edge, needle or blade end from breaking through your glove and causing serious injury to your hand.
360° of Protection
Most safety gloves provide protection at one area of the hand, leaving the rest of it exposed to danger. HexArmor 360 Safety Gloves use a cut-resistant lining across the entire glove, providing safety against an increased range of potential workplace hazards.
TP-X Palm Coating
Losing a grip on it all? A TP-X coating is one of the best grip enhancement palm coatings in the industry. Excelling in both wet and dry applications and environments, a TP-X coating provides the ultimate in durability, stability and longevity.
Adjustable Velcro Wrist Cuff
A traditional knit wrist cuff is a take it or leave it style design. If it doesn't fit or if it doesn't sit quite right against your wrist, hard luck. HexArmor understand that everyone's hands are different. An adjustable Velcro wrist cuff allows the user to customise their fit depending on application and preference.
