Protection Ratings and Regulation Standards
EN 388
EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used for protection against mechanical machinery by measuring the fabric's abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.
The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | N/A |
Tear Resistance | Level 4 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 4 |
ISO Cut Resistance | Level F |
Impact Protection | Level P |
EN 407
EN 407 is a European safety regulation governing the sale of gloves and garments that are resistant to any number of fire, heat and molten related hazards. Please view the table below to find out more:
Standard | Resistance Rating |
Burning Resistance | N/A |
Contact Heat Resistance | Level 2 (250°C) |
Convective Heat Resistance | N/A |

Suitable Applications and Environments for HexArmor 2025X Thermal Gloves
Unique Demolition Requirements
Demolition is a serious game. Handling dense and heavy material has the potential to do some serious harm to your hands. Impact protection, maximum EN 388 resistance ratings and enhance grip are just the beginning.
HexArmor Contact HEat Protection
Level 2 contact-heat resistance allows the user to safely handle material with a temperature not exceeding 250°C for up to fifteen seconds. This allows the safe transfer, handling, disposal and replacement of heated material.
Innovative SuperFabric Foundation
Serious about heavy-duty protection, SuperFabric was developed in 1996 as a solution for preventing needle and knife incisions. Since then, it's become an industry standard in cut, puncture, incision and needlestick protection. It is the layer that prevents a serrated edge, needle or blade end from breaking through your glove and causing serious injury to your hand.
IR-X Exoskeleton Impact Protection
Exoskeleton protection simply means the entire glove is encased in a single interlocked, connected system in the style of a protective barrier. So often, the back of the hand is neglected in favour of the palm. This exoskeleton protects against impact, sudden force and downward contact at the back of the hand, preventing serious injury when tools, equipment and equipment are misplaced.
Grip Enhancing TP-X Palm Coating
Grip enhancement is a must when working outdoors. Moisture, rain, sweat, dirt and grease all conspire against you to prevent a strong and stable grip forming. Thankfully, HexArmor use a TP-X palm coating to suck up moisture and liquid in order to minimise slips and slides that result in stock, product, equipment and tool damage.
