They are the ultimate all-round gloves for dirty conditions, proving to protect your hands from oil and grease, rough materials and sharp edges.
How Much Oil Resistance Do they Provide?
They feature a nitrile palm coating that covers much of the front of the palms and fingers. This will protect the palms of your hands completely from oil, ensuring that you can handle slippery items safely and cleanly. However, the palm coating doesn't continue on to their back, so we wouldn't recommend fully submerging your hands in oil.
What Else Do the MaxiCut Oil Resistant Gloves Protect Against?
The MaxiCut Gloves don't just protect your hands against oil. Their thick palm coating is enough to protect your hands against other environmental and mechanical hazards too. These include:
- Grease
- Light water
- Abrasion
- Cuts
- Tears
- Dirt
Why Should I Trust the MaxiCut Level 3 Grip Gloves?
To ensure that you can trust what you are buying, these gloves have been tested to the most stringent of EU regulations. Tested to a range of EN Standards, the results show how the gloves can resist different mechanical hazards. Their results when tested to EN 388 (mechanical protection), are listed below.
Hazard | Level of Resistance |
Abrasion Resistance | Level 4 |
Cut Resistance | Level 3 |
Tear Resistance | Level 3 |
Puncture Resistance | Level 1 |
What Do These Scores Mean?
Each score is rated out of 4, except for cut resistance which is rated out of 5. From these results we can conclude that the gloves offer exceptional resistance to abrasion and tears, which has the impact of protecting your hands against sharp and coarse materials, and ensuring the longevity of your purchase. An impressive level 3 in cut resistance protects your hands against lesser cuts too, only helping to improve the versatility of the gloves.
How Is Technology Used to Enhance Performance?
Technology is used at the very heart of the making of these gloves, helping to maximise breathability, grip and more. Key technological features include:
- CUTtech: For protection against cuts, these MaxiCut Gloves use unique high performance yarns and fibres, that manage to combine cut protection and maintain a high level of comfort.
- LIQUItech: For liquid, oil and grease repellence, these gloves combine two technology platforms by layering them on top of one another.
- DURAtech: Designed to make gloves last longer, DURAtech enhances durability while also working to keep your hands fresh and clean.
- ERGOtech: By mimicking the hand-at-rest position and using the latest knitting technology, these gloves reduce hand fatigue and increase comfort.
- GRIPtech: With a micro-cup finish, the MaxiCut Gloves allow for controlled grip even in slippery environments.
Is Grip Retained When Working With Oil?
Working with oil and grease no doubt makes your gloves task a little more difficult, but the makers of the MaxiCut Gloves have preempted this and used a nitrile micro-cup coating to enable an outstanding level of grip. These micro-cups are rough and coarse to the touch, meaning that it is more difficult to avoid dropping materials. This is perfect for handling materials in slippery environments, particularly with oil, water and grease.
Are the MaxiCut Oil Resistant Gloves Dexterous?
Featuring a lightweight nylon and Spandex blend liner, the MaxiCut Gloves are designed to offer an exceptional level of dexterity. This flexible design also enables enough sensitivity to ensure that you are in total control when handling materials.
How Durable Are the MaxiCut Oil Resistant Gloves?
Handling materials all day requires a certain level of durability, firstly because of the consistent use that the gloves will have to uphold, and secondly because you might have to handle rough and coarse materials that can damage the gloves. The MaxiCut Gloves offer level 4 abrasion resistance, meaning that they will stay in good quality despite handling abrasive materials. This helps to give you peace of mind that you can continue to use the gloves without worry that they will start to break during use.
Why Are the MaxiCut Gloves So Good For My Skin?
The Oeko-Tex Association has evaluated and certified this product as skin safe from the second it comes into contact with the skin. This has the impact of keeping the skin smooth, clean and fresh, which is perfect for extended work in hotter and uncomfortable working environments.
