HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree Cut Resistant Gloves

The HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves delivers industry leading cut resistance to hand. These safety gloves are designed with enhanced grip to meet the demands of light oil applications and similar situations whilst still exceeding expectations of comfort, dexterity and fit.

The HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves benefit from a protective rubber skeleton that guards the back of the hand, knuckles and fingers and thumb from heavy impacts. This shell dissipates impact force, spreading it out across a larger surface area to decrease risk of injury.

Main Features of the HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves

Cut Resistance

The HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves are made with SuperFabric brand material which offers users the highest cut resistance available on the market; EN388 Cut Level 5. This material is used on the interior side of the glove to protect the palm area which is most at risk when collecting, picking up and filtering through sharp objects.

Puncture Protection

The HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves have been tested to ensure the highest levels of protections from wood splinters, sharp tools and protruding hazards.

Impact Protection

The HexArmor Chrome Series Impact 360 Degree 4025 Cut Resistant Gloves have a impact-protective design which lines the back of the hand and the knuckles. This soft rubbery skeleton dissipates blows to the back of the hand over a larger surface to decrease impact. The impact protection can be seen close up in the image below.

  Safety Gloves Sizing Information Guide

In order to select the correct size of safety glove, simply measure across your palm at the point indicated in the picture. Then compare your measurement with the chart below to ensure that you select the correct size of glove for your hand.

We would recommend using a tape measure or ruler to get the right measurement. Our measurements are based on centimetres.

Where your measurement falls on the boundary of two sizes, we would recommend selecting the larger of the two sizes for a comfortable fit. However, if you would specifically like your gloves to be a closer fit, perhaps for work that requires fine movements, select the smaller of the two sizes.

What is EN 388?

You might have noticed that this product adheres to EN standard EN 388. EN standards ensure that the product you are buying meets the safety standards of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), the highest standards organisation recognised by and working on behalf of the European Union. To pass any EN standard, a PPE product must undergo some of the most rigorous safety tests around.

There are many EN standards that our gloves adhere to. However, the EN standard that we’re concerned about here is EN 388. EN 388 stands for Mechanical Resistance, and informs you of your gloves' resistance to abrasion, cuts, tears and punctures.

How Do I Read the EN 388 Score?

Simply speaking, the higher the score that this product achieves, the better the product will be at resisting that hazard. Products will score between Level 0 and Level 4 for abrasion, tears and punctures, and if they weren’t tested for that hazard you will see N/A written instead of a number.

Cuts are a little different and, with the EN 388 standard rewritten in 2016, it means that gloves will either be tested to cut resistance or ISO cut resistance (sometimes called TDM cut resistance). Gloves tested to cut resistance will score between Level 0 and Level 5, and gloves tested to ISO cut resistance will achieve a score between Level A and Level F with the higher letter offering better cut protection.

Where Can I Find Out More?

This is just a brief overview of EN standard EN 388 so you know where you are standing. For further information, you can see the Introductory EN 388 Blog in our Knowledge Centre.
